Summary:

The Registered Pharmacist is responsible for the safe, efficient administration of the medication distribution system and monitoring of the therapy of the patients served.

This position is a Night Shift position - 7 on/7 off!

Responsibilities:
The registered pharmacist compounds and dispenses medications and pharmaceutical supplies while monitoring patient therapy and providing clinical drug information to meet the needs of the physician, nurse and patient.

Qualifications:

• EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
  
  Graduation from an Accredited College or University of Pharmacy with a Bachelor of Science or Pharmacy Degree
• PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
  One year of hospital experience is preferred but not required.
• LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:
  Current license to practice as a registered pharmacist in the state of North Carolina.
• KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:
  Supervision of pharmacy technicians, verbal ability and writing skills for effective communication, attention to detail, professional judgment regarding clinical information and confidentiality.
• WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  Potential exposure to toxic and caustic chemicals requiring the use of personal protective equipment. Potential exposure to TB and Blood borne Pathogens. Stressful, crowded working conditions and rotating shifts. Clean well-lit comfortable climate with moderate noise level.
• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:
  Walking, standing, bending, stooping, and reaching with arms throughout shift, close usual acuity, good depth perception and physical hand and finger dexterity, listens and communicates with other staff members daily, requires lifting of weights of 20 pounds.
