SummaryThe Speech‑Language Pathologist provides patient care assessment and treatment. Responsible for mentoring students and other rehab services personnel as assigned. Collaborates with other healthcare team members and physicians in a multi-disciplinary fashion to deliver the highest quality of care. Participates in CQI activities and facilitates the provision of excellent customer service.
The SLP will work with pediatric clients the majority of the time but will also treat a smaller number of adults as needed.

- Education
:
Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited School of Speech Language Pathology. - Professional Experience Requirements
:
None. - Licensure / Registration / Certification
:
Current NC Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologist temporary or permanent license in Speech Language Pathology. Clinical Fellowship Year or Certification of Clinical Competency from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association. - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
:
Analytical abilities to delegate personnel, problem‑solve with positive solutions; good interpersonal and communication skills required to facilitate interactions with customers and staff members. - Work Environment
:
Exposure to blood borne pathogens, temperature changes and occasional noxious odors. Stressful work periods occasionally encountered. - Physical Requirements
:
Standing for most of the day; lifting/assisting patients with transfers, bed mobility, and ambulation as well as their exercise programs.
