Digital Finance Product Manager – Kinston, NC

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is looking for a Digital Finance Product Manager to join our newly established Digital team. This role is critical for ensuring end‑to‑end stability and performance of our Digital Finance Solution with a primary focus on the ERP (SAP) solution. You will be the on‑site digital representative, linking the Kinston site with the central ERP Center of Excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the transition period from a Digital Finance perspective, ensuring supplier services align with contracts and resolving bugs and defects.
  • Anticipate and advise on mandatory evolutions or change requests for existing solutions while maintaining compliance and efficiency.
  • Develop a deep understanding of as‑is solutions and their associated processes to support the transition to digital finance central and local solutions.
  • Act as the focal point between Kinston local teams and the central SAP ERP CoE Finance, ensuring effective communication and alignment.
  • Gather and anticipate local and legal requirements, liaising with local and central teams.
  • Drive end‑state deployments and maintain Digital Operations service performance of the local site, aligning with regional and global sourcing strategies.
  • Define and lead change management, plant adoption, and implementation of delivered digital solutions at the plant level.
  • After securing the three main missions, drive the creation and stabilization of Digital Finance activities with Central Digital Finance in Europe and Digital North America.
  • Ensure the overall application portfolio is maintained and secured end‑to‑end on the digital side.
  • Steer the definition of Digital Finance strategy for Finance (3‑year and 5‑year) for local and central applications, ensuring alignment with the central team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent education/experience.
  • 15 years of experience in digital and/or finance processes integrated within an ERP environment (e.g., SAP FI, CO, PS, QM, S/4

    HANA) in a manufacturing or industrial context.
  • Minimum 5 years working with and supporting Service Now and integrated tools.
  • Experience managing external supplier deliverables.
  • Ability to work effectively with multi‑functional international teams in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proven experience in a large‑scale digital transformation context in a similar role.
  • Strong planning, prioritization, organization, scheduling, and execution skills.
  • Analytical skills with strong problem‑solving capability.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of ITSM, ITAM, ITIL, and KPI reporting.
  • Domestic and international travel as required.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Preferred Experience
  • ITIL Foundation and advanced ITIL certifications.
  • Technical certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Cisco Certified Network Professional, Certified Information Systems Security Professional, or Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional.
  • Experience in post‑merger integration or transition projects in multi‑system environments.
  • Experience with quality management systems and performance monitoring frameworks.
  • Demonstrated risk management and operational excellence skills.
  • Project Management certification.
  • Knowledge of finance automation and analytics.
  • Proactive mindset with a drive for results and continuous improvement.

Eligible for employment in the United States.

Physical Requirements
  • On‑site attendance 70‑80% required.
  • Vision, hearing, and speaking capabilities to read, participate in conversations, and operate equipment.
  • Operate office and personal electronic equipment, including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.
  • Carry up to 30 lbs (14 kg) and lift up to 30 lbs (14 kg).
  • Push, pull, sit, stand, walk, squat or kneel as necessary within the workplace.
  • Travel overseas and domestically on short notice.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment: safety shoes, glasses, hearing protection, respirators/masks, and/or protective gloves as required by site or customer.
