Supply Officer II
Airbus Aerosystems is looking for a Supply Officer II to join our Supply Chain department based in Kinston, North Carolina.
The Procurement team's mission is to acquire indirect goods and services, playing a major role in generating value and contributing to the overall competitiveness of the company. Our team members ensure on-time delivery and on-quality of equipment and systems, drawing on their expertise in Industrial, Operations & Quality Management, and strong relationship building skills to problem-solve and proactively mitigate supply chain issues.
The Supply Officer II is responsible for managing the flow of materials to the facility, as the first point of contact for Logistics on any ordering, planning and logistical issues related to direct ordered material. They are responsible for a portfolio of suppliers, managing operational demand, ensuring requirements are communicated to both the Supplier & Customer. The Supply Officer II fully adheres to the Airbus processes and procedures.

The Airbus Aerosystems Kinston facility sits at the forefront of aerospace manufacturing, specializing in the production of large, advanced composite aerostructures. Our team builds critical components for the state-of-the-art Airbus A350 XWB, including the composite center fuselage and wing spar.

- Forecast/Call up / Order and VMI Management (50%)

Your Boarding Pass:
- Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years' experience or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business Administration or Supply Chain Management with 2-4 years experience.
- Able to influence discussion and stakeholders using English.
- SAP
- MS Office, Google Suite or similar applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic IT programming knowledge
- Project Management Methodologies
- Analytical skills
- Knowledge of common applications ie. SAP/R3
- Experience in supply chain management
- Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation
- Proficient in Google Suite applications
- Ability to work in intercultural, multifunction teams
- Ability to communicate effectively to internal customers and external suppliers
- Ability to drive and challenge Supplier performance
- Good team work ethic
Complexity of the Role:
The Supply Officer II is responsible for supplier management, end-to-end material flow optimization, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives across various supply chain functions.
Level of Decision Making:
The Supply Officer I must be able to take autonomous decisions on stock build-up, logistic solutions, etc. that will influence directly in the level of operational and financial exposure that Airbus Kinston will assume.

- Ordering of approximately 250 parts, with an estimated annual volume of 3 million USD.

- Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications daily Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts daily
