Your Working EnvironmentThe Airbus Aerosystems Kinston facility sits at the forefront of aerospace manufacturing, specializing in the production of large, advanced composite aerostructures. Our team builds critical components for the state-of-the-art Airbus A350 XWB, including the composite center fuselage and wing spar.
Your Responsibilities- Lead team in developing solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
- Lead a team of represented employees in the fabrication and assembly of complex aerostructures, to meet production requirements and customer acceptance.
- Oversee manufacturing activities such as assembly of components into subassemblies; mating or joining of structural assemblies (metallic and nonmetallic); installation of systems (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic); and testing with mechanical, electrical, and electronic test equipment.
- Interface with engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and customer acceptance.
- At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with multiple cross-functional groups (Quality, Assembly, Procurement, Supply Chain, Machining, etc.)
- At least 5 years experience in a leadership/management role
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree
- Experience developing and managing a statement of work on time and within budget
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience using SAP
- Ability to work any shift, including alternative work weeks
- Experience working in a union environment with collective bargaining agreements
- Experience monitoring cost
- Experience managing projects
- Experience with strategic planning
- Experience working with new product introduction (NPI)

- Vision:
Daily able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. - Hearing:
Daily able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms. - Speaking:
Daily able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications. - Equipment Operation:
Daily able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts. - Carrying:
Several times a week able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. - Lifting:
Several times a week able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. - Pushing / Pulling:
Several times a week able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. - Sitting:
Daily able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer. - Squatting / Kneeling:
Several times a month able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving. - Standing:
Daily able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor. - Walking:
Daily able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces. - Personal Protective Equipment:
