The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of production associates to meet daily operational goals in safety, quality, and productivity. This role ensures efficient workflow, fosters continuous improvement, and maintains compliance with company policies and procedures. The supervisor will work closely with cross-functional teams including maintenance, materials planning, and engineering to support cabinet and component production.
Duties and Responsibilities- Supervise daily production activities to meet output targets and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including PPE usage and plant-specific rules.
- Lead and coach production associates, fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork.
- Monitor and adjust production schedules in coordination with planning and materials teams.
- Identify and resolve process bottlenecks and quality issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production metrics and personnel performance.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering to minimize downtime and optimize equipment usage.
- Enforce company policies consistently and equitably.
- Participate in hiring and training of new team members.

Safety is non-negotiable at the Kinston facility. Supervisors must:
- Enforce PPE usage and safety protocols.
- Identify and address safety concerns proactively.
- Promote a culture of health awareness and compliance with Critical 15 standards.
Supervisors should have a strong grasp of manufacturing processes and equipment. Key attributes include:
- Ability to coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and production scheduling.
Candidates are evaluated on their ability to uphold and improve quality standards. They must:
- Identify potential quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure consistent adherence to product specifications and process controls.
Supervisors work cross-functionally with planning, materials, and HR. They are expected to:
- Collaborate effectively with other supervisors and departments.
- Support knowledge transfer and training across shifts and sites as necessary.
- Lead with empathy and build trust within their teams.
- Hold team members accountable, in partnership with HR, to all company policies and standards.
Supervisors are key drivers of lean initiatives and process optimization. They should:
- Participate in and lead continuous improvement activities.
- Use data to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions.
- Support Master Brand Business System, Daily Management, and 6S efforts.
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook)
Preferred
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
