Responsibilities
  • Uses predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to visually inspect in-process and completed products such as electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies, and mechanical units.
  • Works from blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists.
  • Uses various measuring devices to inspect parts and assemblies.
  • Accepts, rejects, or reworks defective or malfunctioning units or systems.
  • Performs line clearances after each lot to ensure all materials from previous lot are removed.
  • Performs dimensional inspection of parts or assemblies.
  • Initiates and documents non-conforming materials, hardware, parts, or assemblies according to specifications and procedures.
  • Inspects vendor, subcontractor, or company parts and assemblies.
  • Follows a pre-determined sequence of work and prepares and maintains Quality records.
  • Uses precision measurement tools and interprets blueprints and drawings.
Qualifications
  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
  • Work Keys Assessment completion or High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, manufacturing operations, or manufacturing engineering within the aviation industry.
  • Proficient in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Preferred: 5 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, manufacturing operations, or manufacturing engineering within the aviation industry.
  • Preferred:
    Knowledge of aviation Quality Management Systems, Safety Management Systems, and FOD programs.
  • Preferred:
    Experience with aerospace-specific tools such as SAP and MES systems.
