The National Guard in North Carolina seeks a Surface Maintenance Mechanic (WG-5801-11) to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and major repairs on heavy‑duty mobile equipment and vehicles, diagnose complex systems, and apply repair procedures.
You will use engine analyzers, voltmeters, diagnostic tools, disassemble engines, test electrical and suspension systems, provide guidance to junior staff, and ensure readiness of equipment for remote deployments.
