Functional Area
Maintenance
Position PurposeThe Spare Parts Control & Maintenance role is responsible for ensuring critical spare parts are available when needed to minimize equipment downtime and maintain optimal performance. This position oversees the distribution, tracking, and documentation of spare parts and materials required for equipment maintenance and operational continuity.

Scope of Responsibilities and Duties- Maintain consistent inventory levels by ordering new stock within pre‑authorized limits.
- Manage and maintain warehouse spare parts inventory and database.
- Document inventory activities and complete related forms and reports accurately.
- Oversee and manage products and parts being received.
- Perform conformity checks including inspections and verification of packing slips.
- Accurately control and track physical inventory of spare parts and materials.
- Establish and maintain backup sources for high‑demand items to prevent shortages.
- Participate in inventory processes and daily audits; research and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Review inventory reports and order patterns to identify items requiring automatic or recurring delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of the quality, type, and value of materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Perform and oversee processing and routing of invoices related to spare parts and materials.
- Conduct frequent spot checks and partial physical inventory audits.
- Assist with periodic (at least annual) full inventory audits.
- Operate forklift equipment when necessary.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control.
- Experience using computerized inventory systems is required.
- Forklift operator certification, or willingness to obtain certification.
- Basic understanding of inventory control procedures and warehouse processes.
- Proficient keyboarding and data‑entry skills.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Strong understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
- Ability to build and maintain professional vendor relationships.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with others.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
Operational / Team KPIs (measuring process efficiency, timeliness, quality, and collaboration)
- Inventory accuracy and variance reduction
- Timeliness and accuracy of spare part distribution
- Vendor performance and fulfillment reliability
- Completion of daily and periodic audit requirements
- Reduction in equipment downtime due to part availability
