This role offers a competitive salary between £50,532 and £56,607 per annum

- Conduct thorough assessments of children, families, and prospective foster carers to ensure the highest standards of safety and care.
- Develop and implement care and support plans in line with statutory guidance and local authority policies.
- Initiate and manage care proceedings where appropriate, representing the local authority in court settings.
- Contribute to fostering panels and child protection conferences, ensuring that decisions are informed and child-focused.
- Provide supervision, guidance, and support to less experienced colleagues and supervises, fostering professional growth within the team.
- Engage directly with children, families, and carers to ensure their voices are heard and reflected in care planning.
- Maintain accurate and timely case records in compliance with professional and organisational standards.
- Promote best practice in fostering, working closely with multi‑agency partners to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.
- Act as an advocate for children in care, ensuring their rights and wellbeing are at the forefront of decision‑making.
You are a qualified Social Worker (SWE registered) with a proven track record in children’s social care
, particularly within fostering or looked‑after children services. You have excellent assessment, communication, and leadership skills, with a commitment to reflective practice and continuous improvement. Your ability to manage complex cases while mentoring others sets you apart as a confident and capable practitioner.
