Senior Accountant - Washington, D.C., Canada

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Washington DC. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $1700 per month and is suitable for men who are fluent in English. As a Canadian company we welcome candidates from Canada or those who are interested in relocating to Canada with visa sponsorship. In this role you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the companys financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

You will work closely with the finance team to prepare financial statements, analyze data and provide strategic recommendations for improvement.

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, payroll and general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Perform variance analysis and identify areas for cost savings or revenue growth.
• Monitor cash flow and manage budgeting process.
• Assist with year-end audit and tax preparation.
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Mentor and train junior accounting staff.

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA designation is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years experience as an Accountant or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP principles.
• Experience with accounting software Quickbooks preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
