Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. The mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities worldwide, serving a range of customers from households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, including locations without reliable connectivity. We are seeking talented technicians to support full-scale production of Leo satellites. The role focuses on quality, reliability, cost, manufacturability, throughput, and security of the products delivered.
Responsibilities- Champion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations
- Assemble and test avionic LRUs, electrical-mechanical assemblies, handle and install fiber optics, and PCBAs with attention to detail
- Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated
- Support preventive maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems
- Identify equipment requirements, drive process improvements, and maintain floor stock inventory
- Independently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverables
- Execute test procedures for component and system-level testing
- Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries (using pallet jacks, kit carts, etc.)
- Contribute to improving SOPs and safety procedures
- Willing to work all shifts (days, evenings, staggered shifts) including overtime and weekends as needed; shift is 4x10 6am–4:30pm Wed–Sat
- Flexible with working/commuting between site locations
- Standing for long periods, climbing ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching as required
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted
Due to export control laws, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Basic Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year in a high-traceability manufacturing environment, or relevant trade school certification
- 1+ year using hand tools and/or precision measuring instruments
- 1+ year working with test tools and test methods that validate systems
- Experience reading, interpreting, and working from engineering documentation and/or drawings
- Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) certification/license
- CFOT certification or equivalent experience
- Airman or Avionic certification or equivalent experience
- ASE certification or equivalent experience
- Experience in fast-paced production with flight hardware
- Experience with FOD, ESD-sensitive hardware and clean room requirements
- Experience with Electro-Mechanical Assembly, Final Integration, Fiber Optics/Optical and/or Harness Integration
- Ability to rapidly adapt roles/responsibilities in a high-paced environment

Compensation and BenefitsThe starting pay for this position is up to $33.50/hour, with potential raises based on tenure. A full range of medical, financial, and other benefits are provided.
