- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
- Experience with SQL, Python, or other programming/scripting languages to manipulate datasets.
- Experience with building AI Agentic workflows or using different Agentic architectures.
- Experience in abuse and fraud disciplines, especially focused on web security, harmful content moderation and threat analysis.
- Knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
Statistical analysis and Machine Learning libraries (e.g., R, Tensor Flow), Programming languages (e.g., Python), Large Language Models (LLMs) or Generative AI. - Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.
- Excellent problem‑solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail in an ever‑changing environment.
Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know‑how, excellent problem‑solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you’re a big‑picture thinker and strategic team‑player with a passion for doing what’s right.
You work globally and cross‑functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed—with urgency. And you take pride in knowing that every day you are working hard to promote trust in Google and ensuring the highest levels of user safety.
This role is part of the Trust & Safety – Safe Browsing team, dedicated to making the world’s information safely accessible to all, alongside Safe Browsing Engineering to protect internet users from phishing, malware, and scams. You will support Safe Browsing systems that provide defenses against these threats for Google products such as Gmail, Chrome, Search, and Ads. You will collaborate with anti‑abuse teams across the company to identify and resolve the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products.
Responsibilities- Create and evaluate AI Agents that will help Safe Browsing classify web pages and reduce operational costs.
- Perform data analyses to identify harmful entities, design and implement key performance metrics, examine trends, and identify system vulnerabilities.
- Analyze potentially malicious websites to understand their behavior and impact on users, embracing technologies like Large Language Models (LLMs) to enhance the ability to fight abuse and phishing at scale.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to create and enhance tools, develop signals, improve system functionality, accuracy and efficiency.
- Review and manage exposure to sensitive or violative content as part of the core role.
