Job Summary

The Regulatory & External Affairs Analyst supports Ziply Fiber’s compliance with federal, state, and municipal regulatory requirements. This role focuses on collecting, analyzing, and submitting data for regulatory filings, tariffs, price lists, subsidy programs, and related reporting obligations, while also supporting municipal and state licensing activities.

The Analyst researches requirements, tracks applications and renewals, maintains accurate compliance records, and partners with internal teams to ensure submissions are timely, complete, and accurate. This position also provides support for related legal and regulatory operations, including subpoenas, litigation tracking, contract routing, records management, and compliance calendaring. The Regulatory and External Affairs Analyst is a detail-oriented problem-solver who thrives both independently and in collaboration with internal departments to guarantee that all reporting is accurate, timely, and complete.

Through these efforts, the Regulatory & External Affairs Analyst helps the organization meet its regulatory obligations and maintain operational integrity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Regulatory Reporting, Tariffs, and Subsidy Programs
  • Prepare, review, and submit reports to federal and state agencies by compiling and analyzing financial and operational data and performing quality checks for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with Finance, Operations, and IT to gather data, resolve reporting issues, and support timely, accurate regulatory submissions.
  • Support tariff and price list filings by validating required data, documentation, and internal approvals for compliance.
  • Assist with data collection for reimbursement and subsidy programs, monitor policy changes, and support audits to maintain program integrity.
  • Stay current on regulatory changes and help translate new requirements into actionable reporting, filing, and compliance steps.
Municipal and State Licensing
  • Independently research and determine licensing requirements for municipal and state jurisdictions; prepare, submit, and track license applications through approval.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of existing licenses, including maintaining a comprehensive license database, monitoring renewal deadlines, and ensuring timely renewals to maintain compliance.
  • Support entity and subsidiary records, annual filings, and related compliance documentation.
Litigation Support
  • Process incoming subpoenas and legal requests; coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather responsive documents and ensure timely responses.
  • Maintain and update the litigation tracker to ensure accurate status reporting and visibility into pending matters.
  • Assist with matter intake and holds; coordinate discovery support and document collection; and maintain organized, auditable files.
