Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. We are looking for talented technicians to help full‑scale production of the Leo satellites. The success of Leo depends on the quality, reliability, cost, manufacturability, throughput, and security of the products that you deliver. Key job responsibilities
  • Follow work instructions and safety procedures
  • Assemble and test an assortment of LRUs, electrical‑mechanical assemblies, avionics, or other complex aerospace builds with emphasis on detail
  • Participate in process improvements, maintain floor stock inventory
  • Independently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverables
  • Execute test procedures for component and system‑level testing maintenance
  • Champion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations
  • Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated
  • Support some preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems
  • Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients (using pallet jacks, kit carts, etc.)
  • Contribute to improving SOPs and safety procedures

Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.

The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $38.50/hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits are provided. This information is provided per the Washington State Pay Transparency Act. Base pay information is based on market location. A day in the life

The MFG Technician III will identify process improvements to improve build efficiency. You will work closely with multiple engineering teams on both early hardware development and setting the stage for later production hardware manufacturing processes. The successful candidate thrives in a fast paced, start‑up like environment and are able to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills and commitment to quality to positively impact team metrics and organization goals.

Basic

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience in mechanical or electrical hardware assembly, test, and/or installation
  • Experience in the aerospace industry, automotive industry, medical device industry, aviation, military or other high‑reliability operating/manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with environmental testing - vibration, shock, thermal, EMI/EMC, etc.
