Steamoji is a maker academy for kids ages 5–14 that develops future‑ready skills through hands‑on experiences in engineering, robotics, coding, AI, 3D design, digital fabrication and creative problem‑solving.

About the RoleThis is more than a facilitator position. We are seeking a STEM Program Lead who can help lead our academy programs, coach other facilitators, ensure high‑quality student experiences, and support the growth of our academy. The ideal candidate enjoys teaching and inspiring children, while also taking ownership of people, processes, and program execution. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to grow into a larger leadership role within a growing education business.
WhatYou’ll Do Student Experience & Instruction
- Lead engaging STEM learning experiences for students ages 5–14
- Facilitate programs involving robotics, engineering, coding, AI, 3D design and maker projects
- Create a positive, energetic and inclusive learning environment
- Inspire curiosity, creativity and confidence in students
- Coach and mentor facilitators to deliver exceptional student experiences
- Help onboard and train new team members
- Provide feedback and support to instructors
- Lead by example and promote a strong academy culture
- Support daily academy operations
- Ensure classes, camps and events run smoothly
- Help improve processes and operational efficiency
- Assist with planning and execution of camps, workshops and special events
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe learning environment
- Experience working with children through teaching, tutoring, coaching, camps, after‑school programs, youth organizations or similar environments
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Experience with robotics, coding, engineering or maker technologies
- Ability to motivate and guide others
- Reliable transportation to Kirkland
- Availability on weekday afternoons and Saturdays
- Experience leading teams, mentoring others, coaching staff or supervising programs
- Camp leadership experience
- Education or STEM‑related background
This is not intended to be a summer‑only position. We are looking for someone interested in a long‑term opportunity with increasing leadership responsibilities and a career ladder to grow as academy director.
- Our operating hours are M‑F: 2‑7pm and Sat: 10am‑5pm.
