Field Designer​/Distribution

Overview

Asplundh Engineering Services is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 0-3 years of expertise in utility drafting for utility distribution projects. The role is based in Bothell, WA and offers growth opportunities.

• Apply engineering and design methods to ensure quality deliverables.
• Conduct site visits, take measurements, use utility programs and data centers, ensuring projects meet current utility, federal, and state standards.
• Identify scope of assigned projects and decide actions to meet requirements and deadlines.
• Facilitate communication between service providers and internal/external customers, providing technical support as directed by the project manager.
• Respond to customer concerns and collaborate with appropriate parties for resolution.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Experience managing multiple projects.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem‑solving, and conceptual skills across multiple technical areas.
• Knowledge of utility methods, techniques, and procedures involved in distribution design.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Customer‑oriented, collaborative attitude, flexibility, and understanding of complex technical design plans.

• Designer: 0‑3 years relevant work experience or bachelor’s degree in engineering, design, or related discipline.
• AutoCAD experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
