Safety & Reliability Engineer
responsible for providing support for their Company.

Position purpose/core responsibilities:
The incumbent will be responsible for and assist with preparing the plant for complete asset integrity and maintenance operations to include all aspects of defining, developing, budgeting, hiring, and implementing the Maintenance organization. This includes preparing the Maintenance and Reliability teams, developing, and implementing the Maintenance and Reliability Asset Management Process, the CMMS, the spare parts inventory, the mechanical integrity program and developing the comprehensive plant equipment strategies.
Responsibilities include:
- Equipment Criticality Ranking
- Spare Parts Identification
- Inspection Plan (MI) Requirements
- Proactive Maintenance Plan Requirements
- Operator and Maintenance Rounds Requirements
- Create a PSM and REG specifications compliant Inspection Plan for all asset types including; vessels, tanks, piping and components, pumps, Safety systems, Relief devices
- Develop Budget
- Build PCMS data including ISO's and drawings with CML's, U-1's, materials of
- Create ISO's and identify CML's
- Identify, locate and install inspection ports and take baseline thickness data for all CML's
- Ensure all data is entered into PCMS
- Conduct Criticality Sessions
- Apply RCM & FMEA principles to determine appropriate maintenance strategies
- Include vibration analysis, Infrared Scanning, lubricant analysis, Ultrasound, Motor circuit analysis, and AMS valve diagnostics, NETA MTS testing and maintenance of electrical equipment
- Develop and enter PM's into JDE
- Develop and implement lubrication routes and proper lubrication storage
- Work with Site Leadership to Develop a Staffing and Hiring plan for mechanical, and electrical and instrumentation Maintenance, Mechanical Integrity
- Integrate newly hired employees in the development and execution of the Mechanical Integrity, predictive, and preventive maintenance programs.
- Develop and implement plan that uses the maintenance & Reliability team for commissioning of new assets
- Work with Site Leadership to Develop a Staffing and Hiring plan for stores
- Integrate newly hired employees in the development and execution of the stores programs.
- Develop and implement plan that uses the maintenance and stores team for entering parts into the CMMS and identifying stores locations
- Ensure stores processes support replenishment
- Develop Long Range Maintenance Plan (LMRP) and Major Events Calendar (MEC) to ensure proper T/A scopes & planning
- Develop & implement the overall Asset Management Process (including clear organization Roles & Responsibilities to properly support the Process)
- Develop & Implement Reliability Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action Processes (Reliability Improvement Program)
- Working with the Operations Manager, develop Operator Driven Reliability (ODR) rounds
- Attend Project Meetings
The position requires considerable management, influence, and communications skills to establish and communicate the systems required for successful implementation of a Maintenance Organization. The position requires significant contractual and technical experience, as well as a solid foundation in project Maintenance and Reliability management practices. The incumbent must have knowledge, skills and ability to manage a diverse group of technical, project, discipline craft and operating personnel.
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or other related field. This position requires a minimum of 15+ years' experience in roles that develop and implement maintenance and asset integrity programs & processes of a PSM covered process Must exhibit a strong track record of completion and success in delivery of commissioning and projects.
