Verdantas is seeking a Transportation intern for Summer 2026 at our Washington location.
What You'll Do:- Assist in preparing engineering-related calculations, design drawings, specifications, and visual aids
- Assist with fieldwork (e.g., site inspections, surveys, GPS mapping)
- Research, collect, and enter data, and apply technical principles to assist in interpreting and analyzing data
- Review submittals and technical documents to assess compliance with project requirements and prepare draft documents
- Prepare CAD and GIS drawings and documents
- Update our cost‑estimating database annually
- Prepare and update design and calculation templates
- Perform miscellaneous assignments on an as‑needed basis
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong written communication skills for articulating outcomes to clients and team members
- Travel may be required for the position
- Previous engineering Co‑Op or Internship experience is a plus
