The Contract Specialist (COM2) at the Department of Commerce supports the State Home Energy Assistance Program (SHEAP) within the Community Services Division. The role manages contractor compliance and monitoring, provides technical assistance to contractors and partners, conducts desk audits, and works to improve program management systems. This is a project-based position located anywhere in Washington State, with an end date of July 31, 2027.
Keyqualifications:
- Six years of combined education and/or experience supporting community-based organizations or implementing public programs
- Strong facilitation, coaching, and relationship-building skills across diverse partners
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations and compliance procedures
- Demonstrated commitment to growth in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Anti-Racism competencies
- Experience working in or with non-profit organizations, community action agencies, or Native American Tribal organizations (preferred)
