The Clinical Therapist position provides the following social services functions to assist patients in meeting their psychosocial needs while enabling them, through therapeutic skills, to achieve an optimal level of emotional health: treatment planning facilitator, psycho‑social assessment, psycho‑education, short‑term supportive family and individual therapy, group therapy and discharge planning, including liaison with community resources. Ensuring fidelity of program implementation. Utilizes evidence‑based practice in assisting patients achieve their optimal level of mental and emotional health with a focus on mental health issues.
QualificationsEducation: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work preferred; mental health field required.
Requirements:
- Current Washington State Licensure (Associate or Full). Masters Level with Agency Affiliated Counselor Licensure may be considered.
- Must obtain CPR, First Aid, Handle with Care, and Verbal De‑Escalation certifications provided by facility upon hire.
Experience:
- Preferred two (2) years, post‑Master’s experience in a psychiatric health care setting.
- Direct experience in individual and family group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment planning.
- Direct experience managing a caseload of up to 14 clients.
- Skills and experience in community relations and group presentation.
- Skills and experience in group facilitation, group adaptation, and curriculum development.
