Patient Access Coordinator

Responsibilities

Patient Access Representative:
Full Time Day Shift (Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm) - Lynnwood location

The Patient Access Representative supports departmental operations and patient financial navigation activities. This role ensures efficient program operations by overseeing patient communications, front desk services, scheduling support, medical records management, admissions, and registration processes.

This role will include verifying insurance eligibility and benefits, providing financial counseling, facilitating upfront payment collection, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Working closely with patients, payers, and clinical staff, the position supports timely insurance authorization, accurate financial documentation, and access to coverage resources, including Medicaid enrollment assistance as a certified Medicaid Navigator.

Education
:
High School Diploma, or equivalent required.

Experience
: 1+ years of administrative or customer service experience; 1 year in a health care setting preferred

Additional Requirements
:
Successful completion of Verbal De-Escalation and Handle with Care certifications, and BLS and First Aid; provided during Fairfax new hire training.
