An established aerospace manufacturer is seeking an experienced Human Resources Coordinator to join their collaborative HR team and play a visible, high-impact role within a 750-employee organization. As the face of HR, you will serve as a key resource for employees while supporting recruiting, onboarding, compliance, and HR systems that keep the organization running smoothly. You will manage the full new hire onboarding experience, including new hire paperwork, background checks, and orientation, ensuring a professional and seamless start for every employee.
You’ll work closely with a cohesive team of six HR professionals and partner cross-functionally with Payroll, IT, and leadership to support employees from hire through ongoing engagement. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional with 2+ years of experience who is organized, systems-oriented, and eager to deepen their exposure to benefits, compliance, and HR technology while building a long-term career in a structured, regulated environment.
Availability: On-site 5 days/week.
Hours:
Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–4:30 PM (9-hour days), and Friday, 7:00 AM–11:00 AM (4-hour day).
Compensation: $28-$30/hr
RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining employee files, data entry and updating records in the HRIS, and filing documents.
- Post job openings, screen resumes, schedule interviews, and coordinate communications between candidates and hiring managers.
- Assist with onboarding processes by preparing new hire paperwork, scheduling background checks and drug screens, coordinating orientation schedules, presenting portions of the new hire orientation, and ensuring assignment of training in LMS.
- Input employee data into HRIS and other related systems. Partner with IT and Payroll for efficient processing of new hires.
- Serve as a first point of contact for basic HR-related questions, such as policy interpretation, benefits information, and enrollments.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with labor laws and regulations by ensuring employee files are complete and organized, labor law posters are up to date, drug screening occurs as directed, background checks take place in a timely manner, and regular audits are conducted.
- Help plan and organize department/company events, initiatives, and recognition programs.
- Enter and update employee information in HRIS systems and generate reports as needed. Maintain the LMS training database.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent HR experience, and may have a relevant certification (aPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP)
- 2+ years of hands‑on HR experience supporting core HR functions
- Experience working with HRIS and/or ATS systems (ADP WFN, Ascentis, or Cornerstone helpful but not required)
- Experience supporting onboarding processes, including use of HRIS or IT ticketing systems for new hire setup
- Ability to run standard HR reports and pull data for team use or analysis
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong administrative and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and compliance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Customer service mindset with the ability to provide responsive, professional support to employees and candidates
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive employee information
- Collaborative team player who works effectively within a broader HR team
- Interest in learning HR systems and benefits administration
