- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in a technical role (e.g., software engineering, solutions consultant, etc.) or equivalent technical experience.
- Experience with conversational AI frameworks.
- Ability to take ownership of solutions and exert influence without authority.
Passionate people are everywhere Developer Relations, we get excited to collaborate and connect with the communities that love technology as much as we do. Part community manager and part developer advocate, Developer Relations Engineers collaborate with developers at conferences and online, and advocate for developers interests internally afraid to be in front, you write sample code and client libraries as well as participate in developer forums and support queues to troubleshoot and debug coding problems developers encounter.
Internally, you work with product engineering teams to improve our products by conveying feedback from developers, reviewing API designs and testing new features. Chrome, Android, App Engine, HTML5 as well as our core Apps and Ads APIs are just some of the platforms you promote and support.
With your technical expertise, you drive strategy around fostering a community of developers who work with Google technologies. An ardent advocate for these developers, you represent their voice internally to our Product Managers and serve as their Google support in application development and technology implementation.
As a Cloud AI Developer Relations Engineer, you will be an expert and passionate representative of our AI technologies to our communities. Our goal is to increase awareness, mindshare, and adoption of AI. Advocates accomplish this by creating impactful and relevant content (blogs, presentations, demos, etc.) and engaging with communities (developers, people doing data science, etc.) online or at first-party or third-party events.
To drive feedback back into the product teams, You will work closely with Product Managers and SWE's to help drive strategy around Developer Relations.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities- Stay at the leading edge of AI technologies, especially AI Agents, frameworks, and protocols.
- Create and deliver engaging and developer resources such as demos, notebooks, codelabs, blogs, and videos.
- Understand industry use cases and create scalable demos and reusable assets to assist with proof of concepts.
- Work with teams across Google to understand their developer priorities, and create and execute associated developer community engagement strategies.
- Create momentum and drive the success of Google Cloud through interactions with key third-party technical communities.
