- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in a data-intensive role such as threat intelligence, data science, trust and safety, or fraud analysis.
- 5 years of experience managing projects and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Experience working with SQL or Python.
- Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering).
- Experience in cybersecurity, incident response, threat intelligence or threat detection.
- Experience with metrics design, process design or automation in particular in the adversarial space.
- Excellent data analysis skills, including strong SQL skills and experience with scripting languages like Python.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail in an ever-changing environment.
- Ability to explain complex technical issues clearly to stakeholders at different levels with excellent communication skills.
Join our new, dynamic Trust and Safety Account Threats team in Seattle, collaborating with our existing teams in Zurich and Bangalore. We are building a dedicated group focused on rapid incident response to protect billions of users from account compromise, scaled account abuse, and other emerging threats. As a Security Engineering Analyst, you will be on the front lines, and into active security incidents, analyzing data to understand threats, and taking action to keep our users safe.
Our mission is to protect Google accounts and products from threats and abuse and in this context you’ll respond to critical incidents, analyse large amounts of data to programmatically find and close vulnerabilities in our protections and use your automation and AI skills to make our response more efficient.
You will find and understand how the most sophisticated threat actors are getting their Google accounts and help us strategically stay ahead of them, by partnering across Trust and Safety, Engineering and Product teams. You bring in your experience to identify and lead new initiatives on how to evolve our capabilities or influence.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
