Position Overview

Deep Sync is seeking a strategic and commercially-driven Senior Director, Business Development & Partnerships to lead the acquisition, launch, and growth of strategic data partnerships that support Deep Sync products and external marketplace offerings. This role will focus on identifying and securing partnerships that expand Deep Sync's data ecosystem, strengthen product capabilities, and create new revenue opportunities across the identity, advertising, and data landscape.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience within the data, identity, ad tech, martech, or digital media ecosystem and has a strong track record of sourcing, negotiating, and scaling complex partnerships. This individual will work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Legal, Privacy, and Revenue teams to operationalize partnerships from strategy through execution while serving as a trusted external representative of Deep Sync.

This is a highly visible role requiring strong relationship management, strategic thinking, commercial negotiation skills, and the ability to operate effectively within a fast-moving, evolving organization.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Development & Partnership Growth
  • Identify, develop, and drive new strategic partnership opportunities across data providers, technology platforms, cloud partners, agencies, brands, and broader ecosystem relationships
  • Build and execute partnership strategies aligned to Deep Sync's growth objectives and go-to-market priorities
  • Develop and manage a robust pipeline of strategic partnerships that expand Deep Sync's data assets, marketplace offerings, and revenue opportunities
  • Lead complex partnership discussions from initial outreach through negotiation, contracting, launch, and ongoing relationship management
  • Identify opportunities for partnership expansion, data monetization, and new market penetration
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on long-term growth strategy and strategic partnership initiatives
Strategic Partnerships & Ecosystem Development
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, enterprise clients, technology partners, cloud providers, agencies, and platform partners
  • Collaborate with partners on joint go-to-market initiatives, co-selling opportunities, and integrated offerings
  • Help expand Deep Sync's presence within the identity, AI, data collaboration, and privacy-first marketing ecosystem
  • Serve as a strategic external ambassador for Deep Sync across industry and partner engagements
Industry Leadership & Market Intelligence
  • Maintain strong understanding of trends across identity, AI, data collaboration, martech, adtech, and privacy-first data ecosystems
  • Monitor competitive landscape, emerging technologies, and partnership opportunities to inform growth strategy
  • Contribute to strategic discussions regarding market expansion, product opportunities, and long-term business growth initiatives
Requirements
  • Experience identifying, negotiating, and scaling strategic partnerships across the data, identity, advertising, or technology landscape
  • Strong understanding of modern data ecosystems, identity resolution, data collaboration, APIs, cloud-based data environments, and AI-driven workflows
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex initiatives and stakeholder groups simultaneously
  • Strong executive communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
  • Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, Legal, and Customer Success organizations
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth, highly collaborative environment
  • Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to travel for customer and partner meetings as needed
Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Technology, or related field preferred
  • 8-12+ years of experience in Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, Enterprise Sales, Alliances, or related go-to-market leadership roles
  • Experience working within data, identity, AI, SaaS, cloud, martech, adtech, enterprise technology, or related ecosystems
  • Proven track record of developing and closing complex enterprise partnerships and revenue opportunities, including ownership of negotiation and contracting
  • Experience managing executive-level customer and partner relationships
  • Experience navigating consultative enterprise sales cycles and multi-stakeholder environments
Location: Kirkland, WA. This role requires in-office presence five days a week.
