As a Sr. Program Manager supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information Technology (OIT) in the DC Metropolitan area, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a Sr. Program Manager joining our team to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information & Technology (OIT), Software Product management (SPM) Office, Benefits and Memorial Services (BAM) Portfolio.
WHATYOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
EXPERIENCE:
10+ years of portfolio/project management experience
7+ years of experience working in agile environments
4+ years of experience in requirements management
IT Governance experience with Dev Ops practices and tools, such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
Experience with software development methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
Experience in managing transitions for applications with complex integrations, such as APIs, data migrations, or third-party integrations.
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and databases
Experience in managing cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, infrastructure specialists, and other stakeholders.
Experience analyzing complex technical issues and developing effective solutions.
Experience communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in managing vendor relationships
SKILLS:
Experience with IT service management frameworks and methodologies, such as ITIL, Agile, and/or CMMI.
Experience with project management tools, such as JIRA, Asana, or MS Project.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, or IT; four additional years of related experience may be substituted for a degree.

The likely salary range for this position is $147,292 - $199,278. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
