• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in product design or UX.
• 2 years of experience working on AI-based products and services.

• Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience leading design projects.

• Experience with data visualization, data storytelling, and AI-based system design.

As an Interaction Designer, you'll apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative products.

As a part of the AI Systems Knowledge and Intelligence Engine (ASKIE) team, you will help design the foundational intelligence layer for Google’s agentic ecosystem. Our team unifies data-driven initiatives and developer telemetry to illuminate the path to a faster, AI-native Google. In this role, you will focus on building intuitive, high-impact user experiences—such as advanced dashboards, metric platforms, and AI-powered analytical tools that empower both human developers and autonomous agents to glean clear insights and take immediate action.

The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure se are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $236000 - $329000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits
