Director, Technical Program Management, Equipment Supply Chain

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience 15 years of experience in supply chain, technical infrastructure, or mission-critical environments.

Preferred qualifications:

MBA or Master's degree in a technical or business field. Experience managing multi-billion dollar asset portfolios and multi-tier global supply chains (e.g., Tier 1 integrators and Tier 2 suppliers). Experience with Advanced Planning Systems (e.g., Kinaxis, SAP) and advocating for AI/ML best practices to unlock process efficiency and scale.

Within AI2, the Equipment Supply Chain (ESC) Planning organization transforms phase-level demand signals into high-accuracy equipment supply plans. We leverage Integrated Business Planning and financial stewardship to proactively mitigate capital expenditure and supply constraints, reliably meeting our customers' evolving capacity needs and supporting Google's accelerated global growth.

As Director of ESC Planning, you will be a visionary leader and be responsible for directing a portfolio of strategic, complex programs that accelerate the business impact of Google's global infrastructure. You will lead the organization through a pivot, moving from establishing basic visibility to dynamic transformation and outcome-driven execution. You will manage a high-performing team across Demand Planning, Supply Planning (e.g., Mechanical and Electrical), Capital Expenditure/Operational Expenditure Management, and Integrated Business Planning.

This role exhibits positive influence and technical leadership, prioritizing a user-centered development process to increase product utility and user satisfaction.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $281000 - $391000 (USD) + 30% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

Transition to a full Integrated Business Planning model. Decouple supply from demand to drive Build-to-Stock (BTS), Build-to-Order (BTO), and Configure-to-Order (CTO) strategies. Enable "Available to Promise" (ATP) capabilities through aggregate supply positioning and allocation. Implement advanced methodologies to increase forecast precision and reduce cycle times. Optimize capital expenditure and operational expenditure flow by implementing hybrid funding models and site-agnostic procurement to remove funding releases from the critical path.

Establish safety stock and cycle stock buffer models. Scale Multi-Echelon Inventory Optimization (MEIO) across all tiers to protect SLAs while increasing Inventory Turns and reducing carrying costs. Partner with ELS, ESC Operations and Delivery, Finance, and Engineering, and publish a Single Source of Truth (SSOT) for global supply plan.
