Housekeeper – Senior Living Community – Kirkland – Full-time at Morning Star Senior Living
Join to apply for the Housekeeper role at Morning Star Senior Living in Kirkland. This position provides housekeeping support to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
Responsibilities- Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments and established housekeeping procedures.
- Maintain clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive work areas.
- Follow established infection control practices and safety precautions when performing tasks and using equipment and supplies.
- Clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, and surfaces in resident rooms and common areas.
- Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish bathroom fixtures; clean windows/mirrors; and clean floors, carpets, walls, and ceilings as instructed.
- Ensure proper removal of waste and maintenance of trash receptacles.
- Report hazardous conditions or equipment to the supervisor; maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies.
- Attend departmental and staff meetings; follow fire-safety policies; assist with lifting heavy items as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information and respect residents' personal property.
- Turn in found articles to the supervisor and ensure cleaning procedures are followed at all times.

- Education:
High school diploma or GED preferred - Experience:
One year of experience in a healthcare facility preferred - Job knowledge:
Ability to read, write, and speak English; follow instructions; interact professionally with residents, families, and staff; maintain cleanliness and safety of housekeeping areas; follow cleaning instructions and chemical usage guidance - Standards:
