Key Responsibilities- Champion high safety and quality standards for both products and personnel.
- Perform integration and testing of Kuiper satellites and complex subassemblies in cleanroom and ESD‑controlled environments.
- Conduct rigging and critical lifts of bulky, sensitive hardware with precision and care.
- Utilize calibrated tools such as torque wrenches, optical inspection devices, micrometers, and calipers.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Execute work in accordance with established procedures, specifications, and work instructions.
- Identify and document non‑conformities to ensure traceability and corrective action.
- Operate computer software programs including Manufacturing Execution System (MES) in SAP.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers (ME) to develop, refine, and document activities, driving continuous improvement opportunities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to maintain an efficient, safe, and effective work environment.
- Work overtime when required and adapt to working independently or collaboratively within a team.
- Willing to work all shifts, overtime and weekends as needed. 2nd shift Sun‑Wed 4/10s (5:00 pm – 3:30 am). Shifts may vary depending on program needs.
- Able to stand for long periods and perform repetitive assembly operations.
- Capable of climbing and descending ladders, working in tight spaces, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching.
- Able to lift at least 25 lbs unassisted.
Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.
Basic Qualifications- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years experience in mechanical or electrical hardware assembly, test, and/or installation.
- Experience in the aerospace, automotive, medical device, aviation, military or other high‑reliability manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in a fast‑paced, team environment.
- Experience with FOD, ESD‑sensitive hardware and clean‑room requirements.
- Experience with forklifts, cranes and heavy equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand technical drawings, work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and rapidly change roles/responsibilities in a challenging environment.
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
A Day in the LifeThe Integration Technician III is responsible for the assembly of Amazon Leo satellites. You will work closely with engineering, test, quality and operations teams to deliver production hardware to final integration. Your day involves mechanical assembly, avionics integration, rigging, harnessing connections, fiber‑optic splicing and testing, requiring attention to detail, precision and adaptability. You will ensure that every satellite build meets the highest standards of quality, workmanship, and safety while maintaining strict timelines to support launch schedules.
