Manufacturing Technician III, Leo

About the Role

Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.

• Follow work instructions and safety procedures.
• Assemble and test an assortment of LRUs, electrical‑mechanical assemblies, avionics, or other complex aerospace builds with an emphasis on detail.
• Participate in process improvements and maintain floor stock inventory.
• Independently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverables.
• Execute test procedures for component and system level testing and maintenance.
• Champion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations.
• Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated.
• Support preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems.
• Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients (using pallet jacks, kit carts, etc.).
• Contribute to improving SOPs and safety procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical or electrical hardware assembly, test, and/or installation.
• Experience in the aerospace, automotive, medical device, aviation, military or other high‑reliability manufacturing environment.

• Experience with environmental testing – vibration, shock, thermal, EMI/EMC, etc.
• Experience conducting structural, mechanical or electrical systems integration testing.
• Demonstrated ability to follow electromechanical test requirements.
• Experience working with FOD, ESD‑sensitive hardware and clean‑room requirements.
• Experience with forklifts, cranes and heavy equipment (including certifications).
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Knowledge of electrical, optical and mechanical systems, antennas, functional testing and/or satellite components.
• Ability to use multiple types of precision measuring instruments.

Starting pay in Washington State is up to $38.50 per hour, with incremental raises based on tenure. The role includes medical, financial, and other benefits, as well as overtime, performance bonuses, shift differentials, and a 401(k) matching program.
