About the Church:

Seattle New Life Fellowship began in the early 1990s as a ministry of a first-generation Korean church, Community Church of Seattle. In 2023, the congregation officially became an independent church, transitioning from our longtime home in Bothell, WA, to our current location in Kirkland.

Today, Seattle New Life Fellowship is a predominantly Asian American congregation of 600–700 people with deep roots in the immigrant church and a heart for reaching our diverse surrounding communities. We are composed of people in a wide range of life stages, from newborns to empty nesters.

While we remain an independent church, we are currently exploring affiliation with a denomination. We are evangelical in conviction, egalitarian in leadership, believe in the inerrancy of Scripture, and are deeply committed to sharing the gospel with our neighbors.

Mission Statement:

Our mission is to become a Christ-centered community that expands the Kingdom of God by making disciples. We pursue this through faithful participation in Sunday worship, Community Groups, local and global missions, and a strong commitment to mobilizing the next generation to love and follow Jesus.

We are seeking a Lead Pastor who has experience leading a church of similar or greater size (600–700 attendees) and who can faithfully shepherd our congregation while guiding the next season of spiritual growth, discipleship, and mission.

Description of the Position:
  • Visionary Leadership
    • Serve as the primary communicator and champion of Seattle New Life Fellowship’s long-term vision, mission, and spiritual direction, while leading the strategic direction of the church, staff, and volunteer teams.
  • Teaching & Preaching
    • Deliver biblical teaching that resonates with both regular attendees and those exploring faith, making disciples and cultivating spiritual maturity.
  • Leadership Development
    • Act as a leader of leaders by motivating and developing staff, volunteers, and future ministry leaders.
  • Cultural Oversight
    • Foster a healthy church culture marked by grace and spiritual safety, where people can grow without fear or pretense.
  • Collaboration
    • Work closely with the Board of Elders to ensure alignment with the church’s mission, vision, and overall health.
  • Pastoral Care
    • Counsel, pray for, and disciple church members with patience, kindness, and empathy while modeling a vibrant and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Requirements:
  • Alignment with Seattle New Life Fellowship’s mission, vision, theological values, and DNA.
  • A love for and theological understanding of Scripture, with the ability to communicate its truth effectively.
  • Demonstrated character consistent with a Christ-like life.
  • Experience and giftedness in leading a church of our size.
  • Proven experience ministering and discipling within an Asian American ministry context.
  • Emotional and cultural intelligence to navigate diverse and multigenerational contexts.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage projects, and develop leaders.
  • A collaborative, humble, and gospel-centered spirit with a strong work ethic and a desire to continuously learn and grow in ministry.
  • Commitment to a minimum five-year tenure at Seattle New Life Fellowship.
  • Minimum of 10 years of ministry experience (full-time or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing paid staff.
  • Experience casting vision and leading large initiatives.
Compensation:
  • $,150 (includes health and retirement benefits)
How to Apply:
  • Please send your cover letter, resume, and completed Applicant Questionnaire to pnc.
