Under general supervision and reporting to the Senior Director of Quality Operations, the Quality Engineer is responsible for executing and expanding key initiatives within the supplier quality organization. Responsibilities include compliance, process and product audits, MRB, FAI witnessing, review and sign‑off, problem solving, corrective and preventive actions, supplier performance reporting, and other quality improvement activities.

Shift: 4–10 PM (second shift)

Job Responsibilities
  • Modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation, control systems, and protocols.
  • Explain testing and inspection plans, methods, and technologies to assure reliability and conformance of products and processes.
  • Analyze and recommend corrective actions for nonconformities and design problems for internal products and processes.
  • Use PPAP core elements (PFMEA, MSA, process flow and control plans, etc.) to identify risk in product development and propose risk‑management solutions.
  • Review work transfer and process change management requirements, including Resourcing Gate and PPAP acceptance.
  • Review process control documentation to ensure compliance with requirements, objectives, and contracts.
  • Develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation, control systems, and protocols for materials being transformed into partially finished or finished products.
  • Partner with product design and specification teams to devise testing plans, methods, and equipment, ensuring reliability of product and internal quality standards.
  • Develop proactive quality initiative strategies and lead their implementation.
  • Design and implement product engineering changes to address customer‑raised quality issues.
  • Manage both program and product quality engineering.
  • Develop new inspection technologies or methodologies to ensure product conformance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Additional Desired Skills
  • Experience implementing quality engineering tools and systems such as DOE, FMEA, SPC, RCCA, APQP, PPAP, control plans, material control, process control, system performance, product evaluation, MSA, metrology, automated measurement, and related software.
General Requirements
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Fluent in English (reading and writing required).
  • Pass pre‑hire background check including DMV and credit screening.
  • Pass pre‑hire drug screening.
Additional Qualifications
  • Knowledge of FAA, EAR, and ITAR standards and regulations.
  • Understanding of engineering processes, standard drawing conventions, drawing interpretation, specifications, and GD&T.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
Additional Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience, or, in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Engineering/other technical positions:
    Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Shift schedule may vary depending on program needs.
Working Conditions

Incumbents must perform work efficiently and timely with minimal direction. The role involves light lifting, prolonged sitting, and occasional standing, walking, and driving long distances. Physical demands include lifting up to 20 pounds. Visual requirements include reading printed documents and observing behavior. Noise level is typically moderate to high.
