Position Information
Hiawatha CUSD #426 has an opening for a cafeteria cook for the school year.
Title:
Food Service Assistant.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Food Handler’s Certification.
- Good human relations with the ability to communicate in a courteous manner.
- Neat appearance.
- Demonstrated desire to help all children.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Food Service Director.
Job GoalTo serve students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and warmth.
Salary$15.03 - $16.03 per hour based on qualifications/Experience, Four hours per day.
Performance Responsibilities- Assists with daily food preparation with the Food Service team.
- Serve students and staff in a timely, professional manner within food service guidelines.
- Works in a manner that is safe, proper, and efficient in the use of all kitchen equipment.
- Removes used dishes, assisting in cleaning counters, tables, and furnishings.
- Stores and labels all food in a proper and safe way.
- Demonstrates regular and punctual attendance.
- Maintains a positive attitude and professional demeanor when dealing with school personnel and the public as a school leader.
Nine month school year; four hours per day.
EvaluationPerformance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation on non-certified personnel.
