The Retail Supervisor assists the management team in the daily operations of the store. Supervises and leads retail associates within the store location and works a rotational assignment supervising various retail categories, ensuring excellent customer service is provided.
Pay Rate: $23.97‑24.93/hour DOE
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Assign, guide, coach and train employees while performing the work of a Sales Associate as needed.
- Complete retail operational requirements by scheduling and assigning one or more employees.
- Set expectations, instruct, coach and identify training needs.
- Maintain orderly operations of the store in the absence of the Manager and Assistant.
- Resolve workplace problems by addressing issues that impact employee performance and productivity.
- Ensure excellent customer service for customers and donors.
- Prepare reports by collecting, documenting and summarizing information.
- Complete projects by planning, organizing and monitoring assignments.
- Promote productivity by following up with employees on work results.
- Provide excellent internal and external customer service.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Demonstrate safe work practices through awareness and observation in support of a safety culture; report any potential hazards or accidents.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Goodwill’s policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning and directing work, monitoring performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Partners with People Relations as needed and appropriate.

Education and Experience- High school graduate or equivalency but not required.
- 2 years’ experience with retail with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- 2 years’ customer service/retail experience.
- 1 year supervisor experience preferred.

- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to learn new technology and software related to the job.
Employee must lift and carry 30‑40 pounds and perform a variety of physical tasks including standing for long periods, frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, stooping, squatting, pushing, climbing ladders and traveling across a variety of surfaces such as stairs, ramps and uneven terrain. Must operate computer systems, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing (including with those who have limited English skills), and maintain reliable attendance.
