Cheese Specialist
The Cheese Specialist oversees the Cheese department within the Deli, including mentoring and training staff, ordering and inventory. They provide excellent, professional customer service. They demonstrate knowledge of cheese varieties and wrapping and handling procedures.

Job Responsibilities
- Provides excellent, professional customer service
- Prepares, packages and merchandises cheese products
- Fulfills designated ordering responsibilities
- Trains and mentors the Cheese Back Up and other staff on cheese products
- Demonstrates knowledge of cheese varieties and families, specialty foods, and deli prepared foods
- Follows department cheese wrapping and handling procedures
- Ensures department sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards are met
- Follows department safe food handling procedures
- Follows department merchandising standards and procedures
- Provides deli counter service when needed
- Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service
- Available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends
- At least 3+ years working with cheese is required
- Familiarity with cheese varieties required
- Familiarity with specialty and prepared foods preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to meet physical demands including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion and lifting 10-40lbs regularly
- A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Additional $1.50/hour Night Differential when applicable.

Starting Wage: $31.15/hour
