Join Our Team and Make a Difference
Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable populations and creating a safe, supportive environment for those in need? Our organization is looking for compassionate, motivated individuals to join our Shelter Staff team. In this vital role, you'll be at the heart of shelter operations, helping to maintain a secure and welcoming space for both clients and volunteers.
As Shelter Staff, your main responsibility is ensuring the safety and well-being of the shelter's residents. You will utilize your skills in crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and de-escalation techniques to assist clients through their challenges, working closely with them to resolve conflicts and navigate their day-to-day lives in the shelter. Ongoing professional development and training will be provided to support your growth in these areas.
In addition to client interaction, you'll help manage daily shelter operations, including cleaning, organizing, and meal setups. Strong communication is key, as you will report observations and incidents to the shelter leadership team to ensure proper follow-up. By creating a calm, structured environment, you'll be making a lasting impact on the lives of the individuals we serve.

This is more than just a job; it's a chance to be a part of a mission-driven team dedicated to making a real difference. With a competitive base hourly wage of $24.61 to $25.68 and ongoing opportunities for training and growth, you'll be well-supported in your role.
