Location: Olympia, WA - This position may work remotely from anywhere in Washington State, with quarterly in-person meetings in Olympia. Additional statewide travel is required to conduct regular monitoring of home visiting program requirements.

The Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) is seeking a collaborative and relationship-focused professional to join the Strengthening Families Washington team within the Family and Community Support Division. This position supports high-quality home visiting services across Washington by partnering with community-based organizations that provide parent education, family support, and prevention services. The work includes support for established home visiting models, including Parents as Teachers (PAT), as part of a broader portfolio of home visiting services.

This position joins a fast-paced, equity-focused, and mission-driven team of dedicated professionals committed to strengthening families and improving outcomes for children and communities. Working closely with community partners, internal DCYF teams, and statewide partners, this role helps ensure programs have the support, resources, and accountability needed to provide high-quality services to families.

The Opportunity

As a member of the Home Visiting Services Contracting Team, you will manage and monitor a portfolio of contracts with community-based organizations delivering home visiting services throughout Washington. These partners may include nonprofits, public health departments, school districts, and other local organizations.

You will develop expertise in the program models, funding, data, service delivery, and performance requirements associated with your assigned contracts, with Parents as Teachers (PAT) representing a significant area of the work. Through ongoing partnership with local organizations, you will analyze program services, monitor contract and funding requirements, and provide or coordinate technical assistance to support program quality and continuous improvement.

While this position does not provide direct services to families, you will work alongside the community organizations providing those direct services, building collaborative relationships, monitoring performance and requirements, identifying areas where support may be needed, and helping ensure families throughout Washington receive high-quality home visiting services.

Some of what you will get to do:
  • Support community partners delivering the Parents as Teachers (PAT) home visiting model through contract monitoring, program guidance, and technical assistance.
  • Develop and manage 15-25 home visiting service contracts; this includes active monitoring and provision of technical assistance.
  • Support high-quality data collection and implement continuous quality improvement (CQI) efforts and provide program specific supports necessary for the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Communicate and participate in cross sector partnership development.
  • Manage home visiting systems contracts.
  • Provide guidance, perform analysis and develop reports related to home visiting and child abuse and neglect prevention related program services, community needs, and racial equity issues in policy and practice.
