- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- 3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience designing large-scale distributed system and applying engineering best practices.
- Experience in ML model training, performance optimization and observability.

CMCS (Cloud ML Compute Services) team is accountable for defining and driving the overall Cloud ML Compute IaaS and IaaS+ product offering and technical strategy. We are leveraging Google AI’s leadership to differentiate GCP and delight our customers with the best ML and HPC platform in the world for top talent powered by TPUs, GPUs and CPUs and all ML frameworks (e.g., Tensor Flow, PyTorch and JAX).

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
