Our high‑performance radars work in all weather and are designed for autonomous vehicles, uncrewed aircraft, drones, and the security of borders, critical infrastructure, and smart cities. We are seeking a high‑caliber, product‑minded engineer to join the Product Integration Team (PIT). The team builds the software layers that enable our platform to operate within a broader ecosystem of external systems, sensors, and command‑and‑control infrastructure. Your responsibilities include designing and delivering integration‑ready software that works under real‑world constraints, with incomplete information and evolving requirements.

This hands‑on, builder‑first role requires rapid iteration, clear problem definition, and ownership from concept to deployment. You will work directly with field systems engineers, external partners, and partners during live deployments and integration events, troubleshooting issues in real time. Travel to customer sites or integration events may be required. The position reports to the VP, Software & Firmware Engineer.

• Rapidly prototype new capabilities and iterate based on real‑world feedback.
• Translate mission needs into systems through design and working implementations.
• Design clean APIs, SDKs, and integration patterns for interoperability.
• Connect distributed sensors with command systems through reliable middleware.
• Balance quick iteration with long‑term maintainability.
• Deliver full‑stack solutions, including backend services and front‑end interfaces.
• Hardening and scaling prototypes into production‑ready solutions.
• Support field deployments, debugging, and deploying solutions in real time.
• Collaborate with partners to integrate and validate systems.
• Improve systems based on field usage and end‑user feedback.
• Contribute to strong engineering practices and design/code quality.

• Strong foundation in backend development: building services and middleware that ingest, process and integrate data, with focus on performance, reliability and clean abstractions.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/REST, Web Sockets; diagnosing connectivity and performance across systems.
• Experience designing or working with distributed systems that handle real‑time data and provide fault tolerance.
• Familiarity with AI/ML tooling and APIs to accelerate development.
• Proficiency in Rust, Python, or C/C++ with ability to write clean, maintainable, production‑quality code.
• Designing and building APIs and service interfaces with usability, clarity and ease of integration.
• Rapid prototyping and iterating under tight timelines, balancing speed with quality.
• Experience building for real‑world environments (edge, robotics, defense, automotive) and handling constraints such as intermittent connectivity and limited resources.
• Understanding of modular architectures and system reliability, managing dependencies and building resilient systems.
• Experience with CI/CD and observability: building, testing, deploying services, and using logs, metrics and tracing.
• Ability to travel up to 50 %.

• Embedded systems or device‑level software.
• Background in security.
• Front‑end experience (React or similar).
• Experience building SDKs or integration tooling.
• Experience working with external customers or partners.
• Experience in defense, robotics, autonomy, or edge systems.
• Background in startup or rapid R&D environments.
• Strong bias toward action with sound engineering judgment.

5+ years building and shipping production‑grade software systems with a track record in real‑world environments.
