* Minimum qualifications:

* + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

+ 7 years of work experience in a technical role (e.g., software engineering, solutions consultant, etc.) or equivalent technical experience.

+ 5 years of experience with direct people management in a technical team/organization.

+ Understanding of software development life-cycles and best practices.

+ Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across various teams and levels.

Part community manager and part developer advocate, Developer Relations Engineers collaborate with developers at conferences and online, and advocate for developers interests internally  afraid to be hands-on, you write sample code and client libraries as well as participate in developer forums and support queues to troubleshoot and debug coding problems developers encounter.

Internally, you work with product engineering teams to improve our products by conveying feedback from developers, reviewing API designs and testing new features. Chrome, Android, App Engine, HTML5 as well as our core Google Apps and Ads APIs are just some of the platforms you promote and support.

In this role, you will radically increase velocity at Google by leading a team of Developer Relations Engineers, focused on increasing velocity of Google engineers. You will lead a crucial part of Developer Insight and Enablement's efforts by helping to identify emerging trends in Google's SDLC, co-creating solutions to drive an agentic future, working to reduce friction in our internal stacks, and helping internal teams take advantage of data and insights.
