- Contribute to the exploration, design, and implementation of frontend modernization, updating the codebase to align with modern, Google‑standard infrastructure
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design and build an extensible frontend architecture that accelerates the development of new features
- Develop and deliver high‑quality, performance‑oriented features for critical team projects
- Design, build, and maintain robust frontend components and services for the Colab applications
Google's software engineers develop the next‑generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. The role focuses on delivering user experiences for data science and machine learning practitioners across all owned surfaces, building and supporting the “face of the product” to customers, and creating AI‑native data science tools on top of the Colab stack.
Engineers work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs, with opportunities to switch teams and projects as the fast‑paced business evolves. The team requires versatility, leadership qualities, and enthusiasm to tackle full‑stack challenges, driving continuous technological advancement.
US salary range: $147,000 – $211,000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits. Individual pay is determined by job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
