• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience programming in Java, Go, Python, Node.js, Rust, C++, C#, Ruby or PHP.
• 5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.
• 5 years of experience working on developer tools.
• 5 years of experience building Software Development Kits (SDKs).
• 5 years of experience with Cloud APIs.

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
• 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
• Experience with Cloud Identity and AuthN/AuthZ.

As a part of the Cloud SDK team, you will build the gcloud Command-line Interface (CLI) and client libraries across 9 languages, serving as the programmatic front door to 150+ Google Cloud Platform (GCP) APIs for virtually every major customer. You will leverage code generation alongside specialized thick clients to deliver these tools at a massive scale. You will partner closely with API producers and One Platform infrastructure, continuously integrate new platform capabilities.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $262,000 - $365,000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

• Provide overarching technical direction across all Cloud SDK developer products, including client libraries and CLIs, while defining the core architectural foundation for SDKs to grow in the age of AI.
