Software Engineer III, Ad Serving Infrastructure, You Tube Ads

We are seeking a seasoned engineer to help drive the next generation of You Tube Advertising infrastructure. The role requires strong experience in large‑scale distributed systems, C++ programming, and propelling propull critical solutions for ad serving at You Tube.

Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of software development experience or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting
  • 2 years of experience developing large‑scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture
  • Experience in large‑scale serving infrastructure
  • Experience coding in C++
Preferred qualifications
  • Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields
  • 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms
  • Proficiency in debugging serving systems with appropriate tools
  • Familiarity with deep model serving architecture

Responsibilities
  • Write product or system development code
  • Participate in, or lead, design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide among available technologies
  • Review code developed by others and provide feedback to ensure best practices (style guidelines, code checking, accuracy, testability and efficiency)
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality
Additional Compensation & Opportunities

Pay ranges – US:  147,000 –  211,000 + target bonus + equity + benefits. Salary will be determined by factors including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
