We are seeking a seasoned engineer to help drive the next generation of You Tube Advertising infrastructure. The role requires strong experience in large‑scale distributed systems, C++ programming, and propelling propull critical solutions for ad serving at You Tube.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• 2 years of software development experience or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting
• 2 years of experience developing large‑scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture
• Experience in large‑scale serving infrastructure
• Experience coding in C++

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields
• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms
• Proficiency in debugging serving systems with appropriate tools
• Familiarity with deep model serving architecture

We need engineers who bring fresh ideas across information retrieval, distributed computing, large‑scale system design, networking and data storage, security, AI, NLP, UI design, and mobile.

As a software engineer, you will work on a project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as your career and business grow. You will be expected to be versatile, show leadership qualities, and be enthusiastic to tackle new problems across the full stack.

• Write product or system development code
• Participate in, or lead, design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide among available technologies
• Review code developed by others and provide feedback to ensure best practices (style guidelines, code checking, accuracy, testability and efficiency)
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality

Pay ranges – US:  147,000 –  211,000 + target bonus + equity + benefits. Salary will be determined by factors including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
