- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with one or more of the following:
Speech/audio (e.g., technology duplicating and responding to the human voice), reinforcement learning (e.g., sequential decision making), ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field. - 5 years of experience with ML design and ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning).
- Experience with core GenAI concepts (e.g., LLM, Multi-Modal, Large Vision Models) and with text, image, video, or audio generation.
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Experience in Vertex AI, Big Query, Cloud Storage, and Dialogflow.
- Experience in prompt development, model evaluation, and the creative application of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
- Ability to be flexible and resilient in dynamic environments where priorities often shift and to take ownership and respond to urgent business or customer issues.
As a Senior Applied AI Agent Developer, you will be at the forefront of applying Google's Generative AI to solve real-world challenges for our most strategic customers. You will act as a specialized software developer embedded with key accounts, working direct to build, deploy, and optimize sophisticated AI agents on our platform. This is a high-impact role that bridges the gap between our core product development teams and complex customer needs, directly accelerating customer success and shaping the future of our AI products.

Our portfolio includes Gemini Enterprise for Customer Experience (Shopping Agent, CX Agent Studio, Agent Assist, Vertex AI Search - Commerce, Customer Experience Insights), along with other vertical and domain packaged solutions. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $174000 - $253000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

- Partner directly with select, strategic customers to understand their business challenges. Design, co-develop, debug, and deploy custom conversational AI agents and solutions to accelerate their time to value.
- Act as a high-level problem solver, empowered to write bespoke code, develop custom tooling, and even contribute directly to the core product codebase to resolve critical customer issues.
- Systematize your learnings from customer engagements by creating reusable tools, building documentation and accelerators, and establishing best practices that can be used across the organization.
- Serve as a critical feedback loop to our core product and development teams. Synthesize insights from the field to influence product strategy and identify feature gaps.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing technical guidance and best practices to customers on agent improvement, performance tuning, CI/CD pipelines, and production readiness.
