Material Handler, 2nd Shift

JOB SUMMARY

Astronics AESis is seeking a Material Handler to join our team in Redmond, WA
. This is an onsite position on 2nd shift, working Monday - Thursday 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. in the facility.

• Stock and distribute products and materials in inventory warehouses and manufacturing lines
• Package and prepare products and merchandise for the shipping clerk
• Prepare and maintain records of items shipped (i.e. purchase orders, manual shippers, and work orders)
• Perform daily cycle counts
• Periodically rotate in RECEIVING for cross training
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or GED required
• Demonstrates familiarity of job duties (typically 1-2 years of direct experience in the essential functions of the position)
• Comprehension – Understand and apply information conveyed in written and oral methods
• Communication – Communicate information and ideas, written and verbal, so others will understand
• Problem Sensitivity – Tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem and notifying appropriate people.
• Customer service – Understand and quickly respond to customer needs
• Near Vision – See details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)

• Data base user interface and query software
• Electronic mail software

• Materials requirements planning logistics and supply chain software
• Manufacturing environment
• Time Pressure
• Operating a forklift, pallet jack and/or manlift operator
• Standing for long periods of time
• Lifting heavy (typically 30 lbs) items

• Offers of employment are contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment background check and drug test including cannabis screening.
• Salary range: $20.12–$27.22 per hour (Midpoint: $23.67).
• Plus $2.00 per hour additional for second shift differential.
• Quarterly Profit Sharing Bonus eligible.
