Responsibilitiesand Expectations
- Accurately perform financial transactions and functions, including processing deposits, withdrawals, transfers, check cashing, payments, monetary instrument sales, and internal bank transactions; balance transactions and cash daily; approve transactions for other employees within assigned approval authority limits; assist in managing bank cash levels as directed; demonstrate operational soundness and maintain quality production to minimize risk exposure and loss; adhere to operating procedures and protocols.
- Build client relationships by conducting professional conversations that build and sustain trust and credibility; discover key life events to ensure bank products and services meet financial needs; promote bank products and services within and outside the branch; proactively refer clients to bank partners to generate additional revenue; deliver a consistently superior client experience by creating a welcoming, engaging, professional environment, and responding to routine client inquiries and requests.
- Demonstrate compliance with applicable laws and regulations by following Equity Bank Business Ethics and Conduct policy, Bank Secrecy Act, Anti‑Money Laundering, Information Security, Suspicious Activity Reporting requirements, internal deposit account opening procedures, and other relevant policies; actively work with clients to understand account activity; complete periodic compliance training; perform other duties as assigned or required.
- High School diploma or equivalent (minimum requirement)
- Cash handling experience (preferred)
- Customer service experience (preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Computer proficiency in Windows‑based systems
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Capable of working with a team
- Aptitude for math
- Ability to travel to Wichita, KS for required training during the first week on the job
