Job Description:

SCOPE OF ROLE:
Provide nursing care for up to 10 inpatient rehab (Swing) patients. May absorb med-surg patients if swing volume drops. These patients require less nurse-intensive care than traditional med-surg patients but nothing different from a skill standpoint.

CALL REQUIREMENTS:
No standing call. May be placed on call if volume supports but no more than the 48 hours of call-off time already in the standard contract.

FLOATING REQUIREMENTS:
Mainly to med/surg only for patient assignments. May be floated to other units for tasking (only within existing competencies)

48hr weekly guarantees may be accommodated, must include in body of submittal

Blocked scheduling requests may be accommodated, must include in body of submittal. No week on/week off.

Number of beds in unit = 10 beds

Patient ratio = 1:10 (swing patients only)

Scrub color = Any solid color

EMR = Med Host

Requirements:

• 1-2 YRS+ Exp Working in Specialty
• 1-2 YRS+ Exp Working Only in Acute Care Setting
• ACTIVE BLS (AHA)
• Knowledge of IV Medication Required
