Travel LPN - Acute Care

Position Overview

We're looking for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for an immediate travel opening in Kirksville, MO. The right LPN should have at least one year of experience in an Acute Care hospital setting.

As an LPN in Acute Care, you will provide direct nursing care to patients with acute illnesses or injuries under the supervision of RNs and physicians. You will assist in monitoring patient status, administering treatments, and supporting recovery in a fast‑paced hospital environment.

• Assist with patient assessments and monitor vital signs
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Provide wound care, catheter care, and other nursing procedures
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
• Document nursing care accurately and timely in medical records
• Support infection control and safety protocols
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Prepare patients for diagnostic tests and procedures
• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment

• At least one year of experience as an LPN in an Acute Care setting
• BLS certification required; 2 Years of experience in an Acute Care setting
• State licensure eligibility required
• Adaptable, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing the demands of a dynamic clinical setting
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment
